Blending one of the world’s largest retailers in East Harlem in Manhattan was no easy task. After years of searching for the ideal location, MulvannyG2 worked with Costco to integrate their warehouse into the new shopping center East River Plaza developed by Blumenfeld Development Group. Costco now occupies 110,000 SF, on the first floor of the four-story building and will soon be followed by Target, Best Buy, and Marshall’s. The interior design was a custom configuration manipulating Costco’s typical layout inside the pre-existing space. The rush on opening day proves that Costco has been welcomed into this thriving neighborhood. |
