Ashikaga, Japan - We designed this shopping center to be an extension of the community—and an elegant departure from strip malls. Restaurants, a cineplex, specialty stores, and public meeting rooms create places for people to gather. Because mall shoppers increasingly want to discover new on return visits, we dotted Harvest Place with colorful trees and plantings that will change seasonally while providing a pleasant ambiance that encourages lingering and browsing. |
